I love ethnographic museums. I have visited hundreds. This was one of the very best - in interesting old mosque out buildings, with innovative displays, featuring rotating figures so the costumes can be seen from every angle. I'm a professional tour guide in Turkey for english speaking tour groups. Today I visited this lovely Museum with my tour group. It's so near to Muradiye Mosque. You can find different clothes combined with interesting jewels in various contexts (clothes from different regions, bride and groom clothes, clothing of young girls and boys, and so on). The museum consists of few small galleries to visit but has interesting pieces.

Dozens of traditional clothes and accessories of Ottoman Turks and the many ethnic peoples of the late Empire are tastefully displayed in this comprehensive but SMALL museum. There were no other vistors the day I was here...what a gem!! I give this a 10/10 rating...

actually the museum is rather small but full of very valuable items even if it has been done with little means it is really worth to see

Please visit this museum when you are in Bursa.
