- Anthie28 contributionsSunset set point chappadociaIts a nice place where you can see the red valley and other valley. When the sunset comes …the sky was so beautiful and you can watch amazing view while having turkish coffee or hot chocolate. There are few swing that children can play and some nice made photo spots. But the view….its a wow!!!Visited January 2023Travelled with familyWritten January 6, 2023
- Dhennver NgPetaling Jaya, Malaysia921 contributionsAlternative route to avoid entrance feeAmazing view point where you can just get a drink, sit here and wait for the sunset. Walking distance from the town. You can cut through to the other end that leads to Goreme Open Air Museum. There is an entrance fee. However, if you come from goreme open air museum direction, go through honey valley trail, you won't have to pay for the entrance feeVisited May 2023Travelled soloWritten May 21, 2023
- Kenyan TravellerNairobi, Kenya1,139 contributionsLovely place to see the views and sunsetsBeautiful point to see the town of Goreme, the valleys, sunset and sunrise. The views are stunning and well worth the climb all the way up. Seems privately owned and the owner charges a small fee to get up there.Visited May 2023Written May 28, 2023
- HollieGreater London, United Kingdom245 contributionsBeautiful view pointWe visited this view point for sunset one evening, we actually drove up here but you can also walk. Whatever mode you choose, it costs 10TL per person. The view is so beautiful and I think whether you came at sunrise, during the day or sunset depending what you want to see - the view will be amazing as you can see over the whole of Gerome town.Visited September 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten September 18, 2023

BE WARNED YOU WILL BE ROBBED AT THIS PLACE! I’ve been charged 250 TL today for each glass of juice and as I was with my kids I ended up paying 750 TL for 3 glasses of juice!!!!
The spot itself is lovely as is much of Gerome, a steep walk up and 10 TL to access (reasonable). However after the long walk me and my 2 young children were very thirsty so went saw a nice spot where a guy had a juice stand, it’s the last stand you get to. After being recommended a mix of Kiwi, Orange and Pineapple juice we each had one glass and I went to pay, the juice wasn’t too great, very bitter my kids couldn’t even finish it but still of course was fine to pay. The big mistake I made was trusting some level of decency and morals! How expensive can a glass of juice be? I’ve been charged 50-100 in Istanbul for much better! The guy said 250 TL, which for 3 drinks I thought was acceptable so when I took that out he took the money and proceeded to tell me it was too less and that I needed to give him 750 TL and the glass of juice was 250 TL each. That’s like £7 a glass!!!! £21 or so for 3 glasses! I gasped in disbelief and said nowhere in the world have I been charged that much for juice but the guy was so casual about it and just stood there waiting for me to pay whilst a queue was forming of other customers ready to ROB! This is an utter disgrace! Where is common decency! This is clear deception! No advertising of prices and then robbing customers once they have had the drink. We spend thousands on these holidays but one issue like this ruins the entire mood! Okay we are used to getting taken advantage of here and there but this was absolutely disgusting!!! At Sunset point opposite this stand there were crisps selling at another vendor, again no prices and they were 100 TL a packet, again quite expensive. Therefore my recommendation is save your money and mind, I feel so taken of here so to save that feeling either just don’t bother walking so steep to be robbed or take your own drinks and food up! Cannot believe there is no governance over this, it has made me never want to return when this is the second time I’m visiting Cappadocia but this time felt like there was little care for the tourist! I’ve returned back to Istanbul today and that was my last experience of Cappadocia which has left a bitter taste in my mouth!

Great spot to watch the balloons take off in the morning, as you are next to the take off spot. Small charge to enter but well worth it.

Very close to our hotel, it was a short walk up that worths every step of it. It was a very beautiful view in the morning for the balloons, and in the evening for the sunset.

Unique colors of the rocks in the Red valley makes you feel like you are on another planet.
You can visit any time of the day and enjoy drinks in the nearby coffee places.

A very worth-it climb (5 TKL entry) but make sure you do not stay just near the flag and tables but move forward to the next two viewpoints. Make sure you are at the top at sunrise. Soon after the sun will appear from behind the hills.
