NOT seen anything like this before

We have been travelling in many parts of the world and never seen anything like this before. So strange and difficult to explain.

Located quite far from Goreme but very worth going there. The stones look so cute and adorable. Can just book a taxi and spend 1-2 hours there.

We went in the midst of a snowstorm. The area does not seem prepared to deal with snow and there was not any snow clearing equipment or salting of the paths, which makes things a little more treacherous. I don't know who has seen a fairy chimney, but I am pretty sure that these geographical formations look like penises, not... More

We came here on a tour and it seems to be very popular with lots of coaches pulling up. It is interesting but I cannot say that it is the most impressive of the structures in Capadocia

Truly amazing to see! Do rather walk it. Dont do a bike tour etc as you need to absorb it all and enjoy this phenomenon. Feels like you on another planet.

Words cannot express the sights that you encounter when you enter the Goreme region and you're suddenly surrounded by the rock formations. It's like being on another planet. As beautiful as they all are, the most exquisite are the fairy chimneys. Their shapes and formations are mystical and the way they're grouped together it's almost like they were formerly giants... Forget joining one of those quad bike tours, they are noisy, dirty, dusty, and too fleeting. The real pleasure when you're there, is just walking around gently and casually soaking up the atmosphere, marvelling at geological forces at work, and just being blown away by it all. And, a Hot Air Balloon trip to see it all from the air... More

These unique ancient natural structures should not be missed. It won't take much time to go through them, and you will probably never see anything like them again.
