We joined the tour with a tour guide and enjoyed each moment of the day. If you like tracking, climbing, nature, go for it.

We came to the rose valley after hiking through the area and looking at some abandoned cave houses. There's even a model of a cave house and what it would have looked at in the area. Beautiful views all around of the caves and valley...More

Nice scenery from the hill facing the valley. Another option is to ride a horse. There are also atv ride tours.

We were here on a beautiful day in November. The trail is fairly well marked (we never got lost) and passes by several cave churches. Nice outdoor cafes at the trailhead overlooking the valley.

We were there in April this year and did a two hour walk through Rose Valley on our own. We did not need a guide and it was absolutely beautiful. There were other walkers we passed and I did not notice any guides with them... More

Is Urgurp the same location as Gerome? Urgurp has the caves and Gerome has hot air balloons? What about Cappadocia?

Urgurp and Goreme are simply two different towns in Cappadocia. I personally slept in Goreme and went to the so called Red Tour (bus tour with guide) and one of the stops are in Urgurp. I think the best places to sleep when... More
