There is no way of describing it, you need to live the SEMA experience. It is a spiritual journey. If you decide to go, check on the web where there are very good explanations on the whirling dervishes, Sema and Mevlana's life and works.

A must do if you are able to be in Konya on a Saturday evening even if performing arts isn't your thing. Read up on it before so you have half an idea what its about. As a bonus its free to attend.

I went to Konya to see the Whirling Dervishes. The music is still in me. It's a beautiful experience, and very unique!

Hi, You do not need to buy tickets, the show is free. Arrive earlier to get better seats as it fills up quickly.

Hey! Yes the show is only on Saturdays. Starts at 7 pm. Wish you good travels and enjoy! If you ever go to Bursa they have a local Dervish school there. Very very nice show! Very authentic and you meet only locals there... More
