It was night when we visited when they jave their night tours. It was cool and even at night it was awesome. The sound if the water gushing is very relaxing. The open top that they used to tour us was amazing.
Visit on the weekend. It will be crowded but our week day visit dull. There was no water running and very little help to find our way around and understand what we were seeing. That being said it is lush and beautiful.

No, there is not a restaurant in the Oasis, yet there is a small kiosk for soft drinks and snacks. This very small business is hit and miss and does not maintain regular hours. You will find several restaurants and cafe's near the entry points and parking areas. One can drive through the Oasis near the National Museum and stock yard in about 10 minutes, moving at 5-10 mph. Or, you can walk with a back pack of snacks and water in about 20-30 minutes.
