We visited this fort primarily to view the "wedding cake like" keep. However, we were blown away by the excellent exhibition of phortographs by Wilfred Thesiger who travelled the desert as a Bedouin would and recorded their way of life.

A must see while in the area there are great artifacts and pictures and stories of how the people Use to travel across the Desert for trading and taking supplies to Commerce in the larger areas Where the population was

This big sand castle in Al Ain is beautiful but it does not contain alot of interesting information. It is a nice little outing but seeing the fort from the outside is almost as good as entering the area. Free entrance.
