Interesting place

We came here on our diy bike ride. It's closed off so you can only go around it but very atmospheric place.

Good place to visit but keep in mind there are no internal tours.it looks like the interior needs a rebuild so it can be opened for tourists. You can get there by car or tour bus (bus stop #6)

I was walking in the morning with friends. It happened that we ended up at the arena after detouring from the riverside avenue. Unfortunately it is getting in ruins and closed to people. Probably it was a nice place to visit in the past, even if you don't like or if you disapprove bullfighting.

A pitty because this place is a piece of history of Colonia. Unfortunately the city has not treated this historic place with the respect if deserves. Hope that they invest in this attraction some money to put it in good conditions.

Nice Moorish architecture, stop here for some photos, but that is really about all to do here for the tourist.

This place has been closed for almost 100 years. However, if you like abandoned things, this is for you. It's fenced off so you can't actually go inside the crumbling structure. Still a cool site to take in if you are in colonia. It's a pretty short bike ride along the coast (approx 2.5 miles).

I wish I had been able to walk in! Bullfighting is barbaric but the history of this place is interesting. I stopped off on my way to the old town in Colonia.

The old bull fighting arena stands like a spooky ruin on a large roundabout at the northern edge of the city. It is strange that it has not been kept and is used. Interesting - and quick - to drive past.

We took a long walk from old town and loved both the walk along the water and the interesting ruins of this plaza de toros. If you have time, do it, if you are into history, I recommend it. I was personally fascinated by the structure

The history of this bullring is interesting and the bullring itself is a site to behold. We traveled here from Argentina and we enjoyed the city and all of it's history.
