If you want to see a sunset at an amazing place I'm sure there aren't many better choices in the world. In May the sun set around 6pm and although it's over quite quick it's most definitely worth it

This great river delta is now apparently always brown from runoff silt from upsteam & pollution from Buenos Aires but its sheer size still makes it impressive & define Colonia

Colonia del Sacramento it's amazing and this board walking it's a must see,you can seat on the benches and enjoy the view, and also very romantic!!

Romantic place with great view of Lá Plata River. Its close to historic center exit crossing the general flores Avenue. Good place to spend some time doing nothing and relaxing.

If it would not be because the water is not salty you would think you are in a sea, it is immense of a very specific silver colour and around Colonia Sacramento it has very nice views

When in Colonia try to experience the sunset from the plaza in the historic section of town . It can be breath taking !!

Perhaps because we live near the ocean ,we always head first to water. The old wharf has long since disappearedbut the current one offers nice views of the shores .There are lots of inviting restaurants along this area too.

Not like at a lake. Some small sandy places not a real beach. Where we finished we were at a landing with grassy area, tables a md facilities.
