We really enjoyed the Ancient Town. You can find plenty of great shops and restaurants. We had clothes made at Mr Xe and that was a real adventure. This is a great place for good food, coffee and drinks. Batgain hard!

While commercial, it was still mesmerizing. An experience to be had in the late afternoon and evening. Thousands of people, boats, lanterns, and a taste of the past. Take some time to relax and just enjoy the atmosphere. Take a boat ride, and don’t race...More

There is no need for a ticket to visit the town, however there are are places of interest located in and around the town that requires a ticket. My advice would be to rather split your stay between the beach and the town if possible. It is a short trip by taxi or scooter if you're feeling adventurous. Not much at the beach except restaurants and a few small stores.
