Gives an insider's view of what it is like to leave the village to go to a city. Also, lots of information about David Livingstone. I was fascinated by some of his original correspondence which is available for viewing.

Not the best museum I have been to but still interesting in its own way. A nice place to take your young children and those who are interested in history.

Livingstone museum an absolute must visit. The Livingstone museum is very informative in terms of the history of Zambia, Livingstone town and DrDavid Livingstone. I would highly recommend you spend few hours here while in town. It is well worth the 49K entry.

What a good job done here in keeping records about so much history of Zambian society. We really enjoyed looking at the different aspects of the history. The beautiful models of different aspects of life were very life-like. We spent quite a bit of time here and thoroughly enjoyed it

The Museum facade does not do justice to the treasures it holds within. If there is one cultural/historical activity you should do whilst in Livingstone, this is a must.

I was very taken with this little museum. The exhibits were very informative, particularly in the subject of recent Zambian history. I found the "Our Village, Their Town" exhibit particularly moving. Much recommended.

The initial impression when entering is that there isn't much to see, but the museum is a bit Tardis-like; it goes on and on! Sure it needs some TLC, but the exhibits themselves are standing the test of time reasonably well. History through the colonisation period is recorded without fear or favour and has not been manipulated as in some... More
