City of kings

The city buildings and surroundings have seen better times. Old structures are evidently getting dilapidated. The streets are well maintained though.

Really good city to walk around everyone is chilled and you dont get bothered by hawkers like you do when walking around vic falls. If you want to experience a real zimbabwean city then Bulwayo is a good place to start. Never felt threatened or in danger anywhere In the city. The market is worth a visit.

Bulawayo is the second largest city in ZW and as other cities I've seen so far in ZW it's a mix of colonial and modern. Bulawayo was our base from where we would do the Matopos but we also had a few hours sightseeing. We stayed at Packers Paradise, it was OK but with no (working) wifi, no coffee and... More

It is a crying shame to see the city deteriorate so badly. No one seems to want to maintain the shops or streets.

It is extremely nice and relaxing walking around the ancient library in the city centre, the Bulawayo club, the Supreme Court, the Town Hall and the Catholic cathedral. The city remains very authentic and I really liked it

Enjoyed wandering around the centre of old bulawayo and its grand buildings and shops. People friendly. Stopped for a snack lunch twice at The Bulawayo Club (grand old colonial building, just ring the bell at the gate to enter).

Driving to old Bulawayo brought a breath of fresh air into my lungs. Looks like King Lobengula's capital has not been given a new touch since the last time it razed by a veld fire. The responsible authorities should do something about the burnt out buildings, but the tour was very informative!!!

So refreshing just driving into Bulawayo. The streets still unchanged from the last time I was there years ago. Though the people appear not to have much but you cannot ignore their lovely happy faces. The Bulawayo centre not big not to fancy but interesting to walk about, the city hall magnificent. Very laid back place and very chilled out.

This is the city to relax, enjoy and lay back. Wander through the old streets, watch the amazing colourful and scenic sights from any street corner! The old Bulawayo streets take you straight back into the time of the settlers.
