Centrally located the museum provides a good overview of local artist. Different styles and techniques on display. If possible have a look at the ateliers of some artists in the garden. The museum shop provides very reasonably priced craftsmanship souvenirs. A must see.

The National Gallery is housed in a wonderfully preserved building in keeping with the status of a gallery. There may not be an international exhibit on show, but the many local artists in situ make the visit memorable and interesting

As a Bulawayo resident, I have always made it a priority to experience Bulawayo sights whenever I can. One place I still had not visited wad the National Art Gallery, and when I eventually did, it was quite an experience. The staff was friendly and the exhibits were well maintained. The highlight was probably the coffee shop with its delicious... More

I visited the Gallery and it's a nice place if you are not a crowd person like me, just went inn to have a lemon cake with coffee, so peaceful with artists doing their works. I love to hangout and most artists meets here, a mixture, up coming artists, painters and poets frequent this place.

This Art gallery is an amazing place and well worth a visit. Not only for the exhibitions which are changed regularly but for the build its self, and the in house studios where you can interact with the artists. a wonderful experience. When ever I am in Bulawayo I always make an effort visit.

Visited the gallery for the first time when attending the Intwasa a arts Festival. The poetry took place in the central court yard where we discovered the amazing little cafe. Wind and rain forced us to move indoors and I took the opportunity to walk around the gallery and was impressed at the William Shakespeare exhibit

In the past this was truly an exceptionally creative place to enjoy the artistic talent in Bulawayo. It was sad to see some of the guest artists were not actually working. The gift shop could do with some additional energy. Most of the pieces were good / great but pricey.
