One of the best National Parks in Zimbabwe, there is so much to see. Wow There also is the Chilojo Cliffs the only place that you become one with nature. If you have not been to Gonarezhou National Park...you have not been to Zimbabwe. There are very nice classy accommodation in the Park just bring your wallet.

We stayed at Chipinda Pools for two nights in April. These are run by Zimparks and although are quite worn out they are a fairly decent place to stay, especially considering the price (I think it was around $70 a night for a tent with two beds and we also had two extra cots for the kids. Possibly $90, can't... More

Beautiful scenery, green and lush, flowing rivers, lots of quite cheeky elephants. A lot of bird life. Well worth visiting. Chilojo cliffs are beautiful, as was Runde floodplain and Save river.

I want to say that I was recently in Gonorezhou for a whole week. I have to say that it was a phenomenal experience. I thought that the Chilojo Hills were stunningly beautiful. The huge baobab trees which dot the landscape were just phenomenal. There were herds of huge elephants which had long tusks. I also have to say that... More

Great opportunities for game viewing along the (drying up) river bed; beautiful vistas of the cliffs across the way.

We drove from Mozambique to camp below the Chilojo cliffs just before sunset, surrounded by elephants, and 40 kilometres from the nearest human beings...bliss.

We did a one day selfdrive trip with our Landcruiser. In the lodge they explained how to drive and it was no problem to go to the Cliffs. There are almost no tourists and the route (4X4 necessary) is very bad. The Cliiffs were very nice and worth the trip. Unfortunately there were not so many animals. There are, but... More

Although it may have gotten a bad rap in the past couple of years due to a reputation for poaching, Gonarezhou is as excellent as ever. Bird life is ample and elephant, various deer, and wild dogs were also seem during our two day visit. Would highly recommend a trip to the Cliffs and just a leisurely drive around the... More
