The newer section from Lockport that will eventually lead you to Amherst is a nice section. You have to ride along the roads to be connected. You can see progress to connect the two trails together hopefully by next year.

Loved this trail last summer when I walked with my daughter. Ample bathrooms, nice paved sidewalk, nice scenery.

The bike/walk trail is directly across from our house and it has provided safe, and relaxing activity for our family for years. The canalway provides all forms of outdoor recreation including jogging, biking, walking, boating etc.etc.etc.

Paved and dirt trails so you can use a wheel chair in many places. Clean and very safe feeling; the views of the river are nice and there is places you can walk into to sit and watch nature.

Excellent trail. A lot of history and the price is right..free. Bring snacks and water as they are not many places to buy items. The scenery is awesome.
