To be honest, there are few traditional buildings and houses in Nagoya, because of the war damage of WW2 and the after war development. But here in Arimatsu, you will see traditional town of Edo-period in quite good condition. I went with a big group and got to practice the tie dying. But all they let us do was the tie-ing. And it was more like sewing. We got our handkerchiefs delivered a few weeks later. I had so much fun my first time here, I brought my friends when they came to visit. Now, I'm a crafty-type person, so someone who isn't might not enjoy it as much. Did the tie dying experience here for fun, and it was really cool!!! The museum is small but sweet, but really you should arrange to do the traditional tie dying experience and do the sewing to create your on tie dyed apron, handkerchief , etc. Cost depends on what you make.
