I visited Atsuta Jingu one evening at the end of November 2017, a 10 minute walk from a few train/subway stations. It was an interesting experience walk within the grounds of the shrine. The way in which some Shinto shrines approach the design of their...More

This shrine is the sacred place, quiet and calm. It is one of the important shrine in Nagoya. I don’t know much about the history but I like this place. You can spend time there around 1.30 hours.

One of the nicest shrines to visit and a must see if you are visiting Nagoya. There are plenty of lovely shrines in Japan and this is one of them.

This is a very classic Japanese temple. It is quite large and is worth touring. There is a famous Japanese restaurant nearby for rice with eel. I suggest you register for a table at the restaurant before you tour around the temple.
