You can see lots of r fresh sea food there. Besides, you also can have very delicious seafood rice bowl. There are some restaurants at 2nd floor and the public toilet is really clean as well.

A neat and spacious market that sell all sort of seafood and fruit. There are also many kaisendon restaurants where you can have a fresh seafood don for your breakfast. We dined at Kaisendon Hikariya. Superb don with very reasonable price. The owener is friendly and fuuny. He even taught us the proper way to enjoy the don.

We have visited this seafood market around noon by late November and found that there there were lots of visitors queueing in front of restaurants waiting for seats. There were many shopstalls selling fresh/dry seafood, fruits and vegetables and some even sold raw unis, crabs, shrimps and salmon to visitors in front of their stalls. There were more restaurants on... More

Seriously overhyped. The market has no special buzz. The prices are higher than at Ameyoko market in Ueno. The quality of food in general is average or below average. Not sure if I would want to recommend this market to anyone. If you must see it, spend no more than 15 minutes, just run through it, dont waste your time.

Sushi Seafood Market Kanazawa, Omicho was a delight to visit, the noise, the atmosphere & the food. I enjoyed a terrific lunch with edible gold leaf sprinkled on my sashimi.

Omicho market is a really big wet market full of seafood vendors selling the freshest wares, with the occasional vegetable seller. Since it was winter, we got to oogle at some really huge snow crabs, some still wriggling, and oysters. Some stalls even cook the seafood you purchase on the spot. We had some wonderful sea urchin straight from the... More

Although this place is not English friendly, you can feel the local liveliness in the market. You can find many fish markets.

I always make point of whenever possible visiting the local fish market if there is one. With Omicho market being within a ten minute walk of our hotel I made sure I visited Omicho. Unfortunately we did not manage togged there until around lunchtime so most of the fishmongers had completed their preparation work which is something I am interested... More
