Nice old buildings of Japan, mostly occupied by cafes and restaurants. Would be a good visit for a lunch bite or tea break. Within a 5 min walk from the castle or 15min from train station.

Very pleasant on a sunny afternoon, a nice walk from the shopping centre to the river. There is a sacred well to look out for along the way

This street is worth a visit if you are in Matsumoto. There are many restaurants and shops on this street. It is close to the castle so it is a good place to go for lunch after visiting the castle.

Great place to spend an afternoon..touristy shops, vintage and antique shops, tea house, Japanese tchatcka and souveniers...great selection of things oriental along the river. Alot of fun and alot of atmosphere.

Visited this street just after midday. The street has many craft shops and eateries. The building look quite quaint. Situated near a waterway.

A lovely street to walk along and window shop for pottery and other crafts. It was a nice flat easy walk.

There is not much to say about this street. The architechture is definately different from what you see elsewhere in matsumoto, but for me I can't really say. There is an old style communal house about midway. I'd recommend giving it a quick look, it...More

Attractive in its way..a bit touristy. Worth a walk up and down despite that. Rather expensive for souvenirs though!
