We were there in the middle of the plum blossom season. This park was quite huge! There was a small waterfall, museum and Korean garden! I would love to come back in the fall as it would be full of maples apparently. You get discounts...More

Went in February when the flowers were all out (but not in full bloom perhaps). Beautiful gardens with waterfalls, trees, bridges, a Korean garden - the scenery is very peaceful. A bit of a trek to walk to from Atami station, but certainly doable.

Some of the trees and flowers were in bloom. The waterfalls and streams were peacefully flowing by...nice to hear as we walked around. Kept looking for the old Camphor tree and never found it.

It's only one train station away from Atami station plus 10-min walk. The signage pointing to the place was only to be seen when you have walked half the distance (apparently for motorists), which was not of much help for pedestrians. Part of the distance...More
