I originally pushed this portion of my Japan trip aside but I'm glad we finally made time for it. The views and the hike were worth the time spent. A great way to spend a day away from the cities.

It is not really my idea of a "suspension" bridge. It is short one. The bridge itself is nothing spectacular but the view of the coast is.

I personally think, the views of the cliffs while walking an hour to the south of the bridge are more spectacular, compared to what you get from the bridge. A plus is the fairly easy access.

We started on foot at the train station nearest the bridge after being told the bridge was about a mile away. It was longer than that, and we didn't arrive at the park until close to sundown. (FYI, it's very dark out once the sun...More

Beautiful scenery along the Jogasaki coast, the bridge is beautiful and right next to the light house. And on the hot days you can get icecream or shaved ice from the store

The setting here islet decaf and serene! We hiked here from our hotel, and it was great. There is place to access the water close below it with nice watering holes. Highly recommend!

It is a 1.3 km long hiking with unexpected fantastic views if you go along with the coast line. The bridge is great, but the hiking experience is really wonderful.

The bridge is on the paved trail that follows the Jogasaki coast line. It's short, but has a nice view of the coast, and is, itself, interesting engineering.

Is there any book that describes walks or hikes in the Ito area; or any book about the region in general? Is Tokyo the closest large city?
