The park is not too big. If you come in from the west end of the park you'll go up the echoing path and into the cemetery where the founding family of Yamaguchi is buried. This is historical Park site of the last "Yamaguchi Mori-Han (old prefecture)" with his residence and tomb-sites in Yamaguchi city.

The pagoda is simply elegant and beautiful in the park. It's one of the most histrical buiding in Yamaguchi prefecture. Admission free. I stayed in Hotel Active! close to Shin-Yamaguchi station(Shinkansen exit), and can go there from the bus stop of Shin-Yamaguchi station(North exit) to Kencho-mae (in front of Prefectural Office Building). There is a building called "chinryu-tei" in the park. Facility feel the dawn of Japan. Location was more than 150 years ago, the branch point of Japan. 1860s. There was a civil war in Japan state. This is another place to be amazed at the craftsmanship of Japanese builder. The 5 tier pagoda was beautiful to look at. Strolling through the well manicured garden was very refreshing and calming.
