Came here as part of a tour that included a trip to Mt. Fuji. But for me the trip up Mt. Komagatake was the highlight of the tour. The cable car ride was exciting (though quite full) because you headed up into the clouds. More...More

Great views of the Hakone area and Lake Ashi. It is not as steep as the Nihondaira Rodeway but it is a bit longer. Once you are up, you then see that there is a golf course in Hakone.

My wife and I enjoyed the brief ride up the ropeway. The scenery on the way up is quite engaging. We were concerned that we wouldn't have much of a view from the top since it was a cloudy day, but on the ride up...More

It's 1,357 meters tall. In order to see Mt Fuji better, we need to ride the Ropeway up to the peak of the mountain. It's heartbreaking when riding up or down. I would recommend you if you visit Japan in the future.

They pack people like sardines and are mainly interested in selling you the photograph. There's really nothing interesting up there if you cannot see Mt Fuji. Waste of time.

The cable car takes around 100 people so everyone is not going to get a great view and photo opportunity. 1800 meters long and takes 7 minutes for the trip. Breathtaking views from the top with a further 5-10 minute walk further up to an...More

A well orgaised experience which has a few stop points. The staff handle non japanese speakers well. A real tourist treat. Many photographic opportunities on the way of the route

We took a trip on Japanican to Mt. Fuji and to Hakone. The trip to Mt Fuji was very rushed and a little disappointing but the trip up the Hakone Komagatake Ropeway was awful. They packed our entire bus on one car. It was so...More

We used the public transit and walked from the bus stop. I think I remember seeing parking at the base, but I don't know about the top. (Isn't the point to ride up to the top to see the view from there? If it were easy to... More

1080 Yen round trip, open from 8 or 8.30 AM to 3.30PM. It took us about 1 hour, and only because it was freezing cold, in good weather you will want to spend longer at the top, as the views are awesome Also google izuhakone... More
