Lake Ashi is close enough to Tokyo for a day trip but feels like a world away. You get out of the city and into the lush mountains of Japan! There is so much to see and do but if you stay overnight you can...More

Took tram, to ropeway, down to "pirate" Ship in order to cross the lake. We had a great time on the short cruise... Unfortunately didn't get to see Mt. Fuji due to fog.

Lovely view of the forest and wonderful journey on the lake. We could not see Mt Fuji though as it was too cloudy. Nonetheless a lovely way to end the day after Mt Fuji.

Was part of a Mt Fuji tour. While Fuji was disappointing because of weather. The lake provided a nice departure from the bus and quick boat ride made the trip a little enjoyable.

This was one of my favorite stops in Japan. I went to try and see Mt. Fuji but the weather was not cooperating sadly. Still worth a trip for the beautiful views and I would 100% recommend this place to travelers!
