When visiting Japan, China Town isn't exactly the culture I wanted to immerse myself in but it was close. This shrine is spectacularly colored and intricate. When you see it from the outside, I think most people think "wow! It's so beautiful" and then think "it's a bit over the top isn't it?" and I agree. But then you go in, and pay the 500yen fee and it doesn't matter anymore. Because you get 5 big incense sticks which you use in a particular order to... More
