We visited the temple the day of the Chinese New Eve and it was really crowded! Chinatown is a must see in Yokohama!

We loved the site. It was recently redone and it is a beautiful location surround by plants and great restaurants. A family affair or a couples treat. Educational and worth the visit.

This is a newly renovated temple. So great for a photographer. Colors are bright and snap in the sun. This is also near many great eating places and historical Chinatown.

It is a Chinese temple, which is dedicated to Guan Yu, a general of the Han Dynasty. If you want to enter inside, a donation is required. Otherwise, it is free to take a picture from outside.

When visiting Japan, China Town isn't exactly the culture I wanted to immerse myself in but it was close. This shrine is spectacularly colored and intricate. It is very small compared to some Japanese shrines I visited but nothing compares to the artwork on this...More

When you see it from the outside, I think most people think "wow! It's so beautiful" and then think "it's a bit over the top isn't it?" and I agree. But then you go in, and pay the 500yen fee and it doesn't matter anymore....More
