The gardens were pleasant but much smaller than I was expecting. Also the museum was also small and not very interesting especially for non-Japanese speakers. At ¥900, I thought it was very expensive especially compared to the other main sights in Nara.

This is the best park. There is a breathtaking view in the park that I cant stop thinking about. Quiet and not as crowded as the rest of the city. I would really like to come back in spring or fall.

With a reduced rate for foreigners, if you like Japanese gardens this one is better than the neighboring Yoshiki-en garden. It's about half an hour to wander around and enjoy the ambience. There are several tea houses in the gardens and I believe you can...More

This is a hidden gem, uncrowded, quiet, a must see. Step away from the crowds to this peaceful oasis.

Went on a visit to Nara, very peaceful and beautiful. One of my favorite parks in Japan. Not crowded so you could take your time wandering around. Lovely visit

A friend recommended that we visit Isuien Garden during our visit to Nara. We are glad we did! Such a peaceful garden away from the busy and noisy shrines/ temples. The entrance fee is 900 yen for adults, pricey but I think worth it.

After walking Nara Park and Toda-ji temple the Tea House at the Isuien Garden is a nice break. Nice view , green tea ice cream $520 yen.

Hi Jolly, You will find it is OK with stroller, you may need to hold baby here and there, because the path is not smooth like drive way. Hope it is helpful. Cheers, Linda
