We were in for some diversity after a string of temples, so we paid to visit the garden, which was advertised with splendid photographs through town. We were not disappointed. If we would have had more time we might have tried the tea ceremony, but...More

The front garden is beautifully landscaped and it gradually becomes less designed as you move through the back garden to the outer edges. The autumn colours of the Acers and Enkianthus were stunning as they were reflected in the ponds. The various tea houses were...More

This is a beautiful garden, expertly looked after - we watched the gardening team pruning trees - fascinating to watch how they determine shape etc. Lovely meandering paths and ponds with quite a variety of plants.

Garden was beautiful and quiet. Not many tourists, due to entry fee I guess, so we got to really enjoy our visit. We had one of the free guides, he was funny and spoke very good English. His explanation of all the symbols and the...More

This is the most scenic garden we visited in Japan. In November it glows with red leaves of Enkianthus and Japanese Maples. It has dynamic topography on nearly three acres encompassing two ponds, islands, water wheel and waterfall. One can enjoy lunch at the Tea...More

Beautiful and relaxing park for walking and admiring the view over the mountains and the greenery. Calm and pretty. You can also have tea in the tea house in the park.

This garden has all the expected features of a traditional Japanese garden: pond and rills, clipped maples, stepping stones, lanterns and teahouses. It was lovely even in the rain. Watch out for the stones with cord wrapping - they mean no entry! We didn't go...More

Hi Jolly, You will find it is OK with stroller, you may need to hold baby here and there, because the path is not smooth like drive way. Hope it is helpful. Cheers, Linda
