Take the bus from the port to top of the hill. Lovely garden covered by flowers. Reasonable restaurant with a good choice of Japanese meals and food. Lovely to stroll around the island.

Not sure, though. check their website for seasonal flowers in bloom. Otherwise, the park will still have flowers on display. Its a huge place you can enjoy.
Are the bike rentals only available at the port? Are there options to rent a bike near the island park?

Both regular and electric bike can be hired near the ferry port. You can't enter the park by bike, though.
