In late June most of the flowers were gone.. The setting, paths and animals were fun. You get a feel of the countryside after a 10 minute ferry ride from the big city (I guess small for Japan).

If somebody have never explored Japan islands it might appear quit attractive but since I've been to few of them already, Nokonoshima doesn't bring anything really special for me. Nice to visit though if you are in Fukuoka only for a few days as there...More

I'll give it one star due to the horrible conditions of the animal petting zoo. Especially the rabbits area, there were too many rabbits in one habitat and when I was there, there was a rabbit standing in the corner with blood all over, on...More

This island is really beautiful. Too bad I visited not in the peak spring time, so the flowers are just typical, not that wow. You can see the sea once you get to the hill and it was really beautiful. From the city, you can...More

Took a bus and then a short boat ride to this island. It's quite touristy which also means that you wont get lost since many people will stop at the port and taking the same boat. Try out the restaurant overlooking the seas.

Have to go to the island by ferry then take a bus up the hill. Island Park was very beautiful and huge. It may takes around 2-3 hours to see everything. Although it was raining but the scenery and flowers were breathtaking. We were able...More
