This flower garden located near the Ibusuki onsen area, about 15 mins drive time from my hotel. The flower garden covered a huge area. It divided into different zone based on the the sorts of flowers. The indoor and European flower zone are the most attractive zones which you must not miss. The interior design looks very stylish. The staff... More

You need at least 2 hours to enjoy this park. in addition to the extensive grounds it offers a spectacular views across the sea from the top platform. Plenty of photo opportunities. Large conservatory. The grounds are well looked after.

Not sure I would go if it was raining but on a fine day a great place to spend a couple of hours. The bus from Ibusuki takes you right to the gate and there seemed to be plenty of parking. We were provided with a map and suggested routes but chose just to wander. For those who prefer not... More

I think that this place was actually my favorite place in Ibusuki. You can catch the bus that will drop you right at the doorstep of this amazing place. It costs about 620 yen to enter, but totally worth it, in my opinion. Operating times are 09:00 to 17:00. As far as I know, the last bus to the station... More

Flower Park Kagoshima has half a million plants with over 2000 varieties. There is a great view of the mountain Kaimon-dake. The park is divided into 3 sections with outdoor and indoor settings. There is a nice restaurant in the middle and the day we were there they had a special event for the children.

Flower Park Kagoshima, easily accessible by public transport, just half an hour down the road from Ibusuki. Brilliant place indeed, although not many people seem to know about it... such a shame! Over half a million plants (nearly 2500 different species from different tropical zones) spread on quite a big area, ie. allow yourself at least 2 hrs to wander... More

I guess because this place is way down in south Kyushu, well below Kagoshima. I visited this place in early spring during the early sakura season, e.g., those sakura trees that bloom in March rather than April. At the same time, the yellow rape blossoms were blooming so the park was a visual treat with the pink sakura and bright... More
