The lake is known as Shidaka Lake on Google maps. It is a popular camping and fishing site for the locals. There are a few walking tracks from 30 minutes to a few hours on flat surfaces. The only down side is the infrequent bus services.

Beautiful lake but I can imagine it would be magnificent in other seasons like spring or when the colors change. Free parking and free attraction. Pay for a boat ride on the lake. Assuming you can feed the carps in the water as they tend to follow you with their mouths wide open. Paths around the lake and other activities.

This lake is amazingly beautiful, tranquil and scenic. Walk is easy just 1.8km around the lake, but has so much to offer from different angles. Perfect for picnic! Saw a few families setting up tents, BBQ and picnic mats, all ready to spend hours soaking up the environment at 7 degrees.
