Apparently, this is not a 5 star dinning place but trust me you will love when you know that you can cook your own food here ! Those ladies will lead the way to do it !!

When we saw Jigokumushikobo, we were super excited to make our own steaming food. There is 40 mins wait and 30 mins cooking time. There is free foot bath if you want to find thing to do while waiting. The food for steaming are frozen and did not taste that good. It cost a lot of money as well, small... More

Food is cooked using the steam from the hot springs and they have an area with about 15 steamers all located above a steam outlet. The steamed food is comforting in this cold and rainy weather and reasonably fresh and the service staff is helpful. But I feel the wait is a bit too long. We came at around 2.45pm... More

This place is located near the Kannawa bus terminal, and is pretty easy to find once you reach Kannawa. On arrival, go to the counter to get a queue number and instructions on how to go about with the cooking and purchasing of food. After which, head to the vending machine and select the food that you wish to purchase,... More

From my expectation to have nice fresh seafood steaming with onsen, it was just gimmick to lure many people to queue for a long time (30 mins for waiting for queue, 30 mins for waiting for steaming, one hour for dining and cleaning the plates and the steaming mesh by yourself). The seafood I ordered was frozen. It was not... More

Not only paying for the frozen and low quality foods but also need to pay for the steamer (Yen 510). Not only that we need to do it ourselves and also need to wash all our dishes. No drinking water too. Don't go if not you will regret......

Overall, nice experience. Great concept using the natural hot steam to cook something to eat. Somehow, you pay for frozen seafood to be steamed. If the food is fresh, probably have a much better taste than over cooked frozen seafood. Keep in mind, after you're done eating, you have to clean up and wash all the dishes/plates you used.
