The Yui Rail is extremely easy to use especially fron the airport to Naha city but also getting around if the weather is not good or you are not in the "walking" mood.

Sadly, Okinawa does understand mass transit like mainland Japan; he Okinawa Monorail is no exception. While an interesting form of transportation the system really takes you nowhere. The system runs from Naha International Airport around 'downtown' Naha and ends up near Shuri Castle. The system is limited to one articulated car. Elevated stations are limited to one car so the... Very convenient to get about in Naha using this monorail. Clean, efficient and reasonable fare with short waiting time. Easy and user friendly ticketing machine. Recommend to purchase day pass if planning to visit more than one location within the same day.

If you are going to be in town, pick up two day pass it cost 1200 yen. Easy to use and you just have to look for the sky rail to find a station.

So if you're planning to take the monorail to the airport, give yourself lots of time in case you can't board the train and have to wait for the next one. When you arrive at the airport, it may take a while... More

Using the monorail was a nice way to do some traveling (without paying high taxi prices). We rode this a few times on our trip. Once you figure out how, it was a desired mode of transportation. Clean and people are always very quiet.

Monorail is a great way to travel the city. It is short and small but easy access to many attractions in Naha City.

I took the monorail from the airport. Once I got on the correct floor it was easy. Very clean. Efficient. Easy to use. Great view. I might do the one or two day pass that looks like a good deal. It travels or weaves through the center of Naha.

Most of the station of Monorail in Okinawa have elevator. That is very important for the traveler with a little girl and a suitcase like me.
