Our guide Gilbert took us here and told us about the tiny chapel, about St. Xavier. The Vasco Da Gama Pillar. Portuguese Church Museum and the Falconry all can be done within half a day.

A very historical site, now restored and with an adjoining grave yard which gives an insight into those long gone days ... leave a generous tip, the keeper deserves it ...

Though there is not much to see in the church as one would expect when they hear the word Church.. It's a very basic and simple building which has a history, so if you in the area do visit .. Google maps is not accurate,...More

This church was built by Vasco da Gama in the late fifteenth century and has withstood many years of conflict and weathering. It has some old graves beside it including of his fellow sea-men who died in his voyage about the year 1493

This small location hardly an 1/8th of a plot is packed with history. Our guide took time to narrate to us us the history of the place and we sat in the chapel. Even those days, the portuguese carried guns into church for protection.
