The castle is magnificent. But this place it is not only the castle. Aroun it, it is a lot of awesome ancient monuments - phoenicians, romains, hellenistic... Whole ground is full of history, levels of times are one under another. Feel the history.

Interesting and historical place to visit which isn’t too far outside Beirut. Worth doing as part of a tour group.

When in Byblos go visit the crusaders castle. Make sure you walk all the alleys around especially the ones next to the beach and the roman theatre!

Well-worth the entrance price - kids availed of the student entrance fee (bring student IDs). The museum is worth visiting and the climb to the top is wonderful!
