The Crusader Castle is built of robbed stones from the multiple societies which preceded this invasion. The many levels can be viewed from the top of the tower and then explored more closely afterwards. A qualified guide is recommended but allow more than the hour...More

The whole town is kinda focused around this wonderful landmark, the area surrounding the castle is spotted with various columns and ruins. The castle itself is fantastic to walk up and through and I have never been in one quite like it. Not too expensive...More

A medium sized castle. Not in a perfect condition but not a ruin too. You can take some good photos and enjoy a good view of Byblos

It's not an unforgettable place, but you can see the bay on the top tower. Inside there is a small museum, in a few rooms with un interesting historical review

Good place to visit if you are in Byblos. Takes at least 1 hour but can easily take 4 hours. The best view is obviously from the highest tower. Wear comfy shoes and climb all the steps to the top. Take water with you.

The castle was a great day visit. The restaurants around it are great and the shopping is good as well. You can also enjoy a swim while you are there.
