Entering the museum cost 5 ringgit, follow the arrows and climb the spiral stairs, once on top, you can sit on the turning platform showing you exactly the painted surroundings of the museum, paddy fields and Elephant rock as well as the City skyline of Alor Setar. All beautifully made like "Panorama Mesdag in the Netherlands but much bigger. The... More

Very poor museum, nothing much to see. Very warm inside. Super boring and RM5 is far too expensive for such a quality.

The slow spin as you are seated gives you a comprehensive view of the beautiful paddy field landscape, the kampong village scenes, the pasar/market activities. It was really an eye opener even for a local inhabitant but sadly this great concept and structure showcasing the Rice Bowl of Malaysia is not well maintained. A great potential and tourist attraction must... More

There is a similarity between human beings who inhabit the continent of Asia. From East Asia to West Asia, secret is rice. In this museum you will be able to examine the history of paddy and rice, to the evolutionary processes that apply as the circulation of the times. Oh yes, do not forget to see the panorama of rice... More

Situated a few KMs from the city centre beside Gunung Keriang, the only highland in Alor Setar, is a huge complex shaped like a bundle of padi plants. The complex houses a colourful and interesting panorama of life in the vicinity of Gunung Keriang - padi fields, villages, activities in the villages evolving around the busy padi planting seasons and the... I'll be honest about it. Those who visit here are either on a school educational trip (rombongan sambil belajar) or visitors who are really interested in the field of paddy planting. Coz, aside from all of the other things that are on exhibit here, it doesn't really appeal to travellers who are looking for fun facts. The museum is filled... More
