This was an awesome find...we rented a car and headed for the top. The roads aren't great, pretty steep and at least part covered in leaves but don't let that put you off. You can stop off in lay-bys en route and just take it...More

Riding a bike/ moped to reach Gunung Raya hill top is like riding in heaven. Beautiful and green picturesque views on the top. If lucky you can spot big lizards, hornbills (flying atop) and other wild life on the way.

Definitely recommend taking the drive up, especially if you've rented a scooter. We saw so much wildlife, monkeys, monitor lizards, eagles and hornbills. Plus, once you're up there is a lovely view of the island.
