First off, the national park itself was great fun. Using the signs you can hike up to the summit of Bukit Terisek by yourself without a guide. You only really need a guide for the more hardcore hikes (those going to Mt Tahan, for example)....More

It is possible but you would have to leave the car at the jetty and later at the jetty in Taman Negara. There are some parking facilities but they are not guarded.
