Taman Negara is the oldest rainforest in the world and is absolutly beautiful to discover. You might wonder why I write such a bad review, then. Simply put, it's the people. Even getting there proved to be an expedition on it's own, as there are only two tourist agencies who provide transport to the small town in the jungle (there... More

We had an informative morning trek up Bukit Teresek followed by lunch, then a really wet boatride to the orang asli village for an interesting introduction on blowpipe hunting. A pity that it begin raining which meant we couldn't walk around the village. Afterwhich we went for a night trek which we saw snakes and scorpions. Throughout the trip, we... More

We travelled through Malaysia recently using Han Travel. The driver from Teman Negara to Kuala Besut was absolutely crazy and made some maneouvres on the roads that were high risk. I asked the driver to slow down and he became insulted and asked me to leave the bus. If you wish to be treated like this, please go for Han... More

Visited Taman Negara after we have been to Bako NP and Kubah NP. Pick-up at 8:30 at HAN travel office in China town, KL and arrival at around 16:00. Trip from KL to Kuala Tembeling was fine, our HAN driver indeed drove fast, however not unsafe. Boat trip took 2 hours and the surroundings were beautiful. The seat was not... More

A must-visit. I went during Eid holidays, so half places were closed, and not many people around, including national park staff. GET THERE: Easiest way to get there is to book a transfer with some travel agency, it will be the highest expense during your trip as overall going to TN turns out to be extremely budget friendly. Transfer one... More

This is a very pretty national park and well worth a visit (or several). The shallow-boat ride is fun, and the trees are beautiful. The canopy walk was incredible -- it's not for the faint of heart though, with the swaying bridge, rope 'railings', and sometimes loose boards over the ladders that make up the bridges themselves. I was disappointed... More

This is the right place for those who love nature and adventure. We are able to see any kind of animals. And more nice experience during the night jungle trekking. Before you going to sleep inspect it first. might be a frog or spiders in there !

Things to know if doing overnight jungle trek: there are a lot of bees, so if your allegic this is not for you. This is actual treking in a hot and humid jungle with a fairly heavy pack (info not told by nks). Make sure you have insect repellent and good shoes. Besides the nks restaurant being awful and only... More
