Really good value day out! You can feed the elephants and if you are lucky get in the river with a baby!!! Educational video is available before you go into the elephants.

A place where you can see the elephants in action. It is a sanctuary where rescued elephants are taken cared of. The elephant feeding was fun and we were also able to see the big field where elephants play and interact with each other. No entrance fees were required but you can give a donation to support the place. It... More

We visited as a family with elders and children - all enjoyed it. It is a lovely place to visit if you want to learn about elephant conservation efforts in Malaysia and see some of the elephants bathing and being fed. It is about one hour drive from KL.

The first thing we got to do was to watch a movie. This movie shows how they capture wild elephants to "save" them from the humans cutting down the rainforest. They use heavy tranqulisers and have to do it several times to the animals when they move them so they wont go beserk. AND it takes atleast 14 hours to... More

My mother and I visited the sanctuary with Mr Zali and had a wonderful experience. From the time he picked us up at the train station to the end of the day, he was always sharing his knowledge of elephants and it was very clear his passion for saving elephants has meant his life is dedicated to this cause. He... More

We left the Avani resort at 9am for the journey. We were welcomed warmly at the elephant sanctuary. It was so pleasing to see how well the elephants were cared for and how happy they looked. We watch a sort film about how they rescued the elephants. We then went and fed the elephants before watching them bath. There also... More

Booked this trip through Expedia before we went, it cost us £40 each for the day out. It turned out that it was only the 2 of us on the trip, so it was great. The driver was really good, he took us to the Pewter factory first, then we had our vegetarian lunch at a village cafe & then... More

Visited during weekday and thought we could spend the whole day at the sanctuary. Reached around 12pm and we didn't see any elephants out of their barns, perhaps we were late. A few baby elephants were locked up whereas some adult ones were surrounded by electric fence at the other end. We have to wait until 2:30pm for the adult... More

I did this tour with a tour group called DGP Transport and the guides names was Thurai who was very knowledgeable and he also added a multitude of things to see that were not in the itenerary. We drove out the sanctuary talking, laughing and just having a great time. When we go there luck for us it was not... More
