What appeared to be a prosaic garden display turned into a fantastic expedition.
We, a 60 yo and a 71 yo, casually wandered up the first couple of flights of steps, minds basically in neutral.
Then lo and behold, more steps, and more, and more and more....... The views were fantastic and the flowers glorious but was the atmosphere getting thinner?
Eventually we reached the top, convinced we'd climbed many hundreds of steps. After a prolonged pit stop we descended only to find it was under 300 steps. I'm sure we must have made a mistake.
It was lovely. Would we do it again? Yes. But not tomorrow.

If you like roses and flowers, that the right place for you. If not, that the wrong place for you. The centre consist 450 varieties of roses in all shapes and sizes ranging. Other than roses, there were many other flower breeds - orchids, gerberas, daisies. The entry ticket is RM 5 for adult and RM 2 for kids, and the visiting timings are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Lastly, visitors can buy souvenirs, fresh roses, potted plants there.

Cameron Highlands is really full with flower gardens, and most of them are in fact, nurseries with trees and flowers for sale.
The flower garden that is nicely decorated and seriously landscaped is Rose Centre in Kea Farm, 2 km away from Brinchang Town, and just few hundred meters away from Equatorial Hotel.
The centre, built along the slope, layer by layer, is well landscaped and maintained. I really enjoyed my time there, with unique theme and design for each of the layers. On the top of the centre, we can see the whole area of Kea Farm.
The entrance fee for the centre are RM 3 for adults and RM 1.5 for children. For me, it is an interesting place to visit in Cameron Highlands. For more information about my trip in Cameron Highlands, please visit my blog at:

Felt like cheated. Not many roses. All run down without proper maintenance. Not worth to pay rm6 for adult and rm4 for kids. Wasted time and money.

not worth paying for visit. Roses are sparely grown and not many variety to see. more exercise walking up the steep stairs slope. weather at the top is cool and breezy. Not suitable for elderly and handicap as walking around and up the slope is required.

For an entrance fee of RM$5, it is reasonable because the roses, although many species, but the area is not that big. Was surprised to see turkey, peacock, hen, rabbits, ducks caged at the side of the garden. First time saw a turkey, so paid more attention to it. It was pacing up and down inside the cage, quite restless. Feel pitiful for its anxiousness and hope it can calm down and accept its fate to be caged.

If you like roses you'll love the place (however almost none of the roses have a smell, so don't expect it) There are lot of roses and other flowers. Although they charge for entrance after that you are on your own. No guide or no proper pathway shown to explore the place nicely. Considering all the flowers here this place can be better managed and maintained for a better experience.

Adult RM5 and RM3 for kids. It has 7 terraces for you to "climb" up, few quite a lot of roses and other flowers. At the 6th terrace you will manage to see the "top" of the Uncle Quan's house in the famous local Malaysian movie- The Journey. From outside you can walk pass the housing area to reach there too.

Maybe because it was off season, but these flowers looked like they needed a lot more TLC. There were some interesting orchids, but we'd been to the Orchid Garden in Singapore, so this was just average at best.
