good educational trip for children

good experience as a miner. if possible the worker should guide or tell the tourist about the history instead of sit down at the tunnel.

Great place to understand the old history of Malaysia. This used to be the place were most of Chinese used to work before 100 years ago. Is one of the largest mines in the world reaching more than 300km and deep 700m. Worth visiting. March 2017

It was a hot day during our visit to Sg Lembing Mines. We walked from the town to there, it was quite tiring. I suggest to drive there if you are travelling in group. Inside the mines is cold. Taking around 1 hour to explore the mines. Nice for family with kids for learning experience.

It's a museum of the actual mine!! A real treat to see something you will never see. It will take you down a few stories but the walk is pleasant and cooling. Also has signed to explain different processes and areas. Even has a cargo train that takes you into the mine a few feet just to give you a... More

Disappointed to know that a status was broken and some path is not able to enter. Anyways the place should be close forever for the poor management and services, quite smelly too.

There were information related to the mining activities and the history of the place itself on the illuminated boards along the way into the tunnel. I went with my geologist sister so she was my guide, hence a slightly more information than those on the board.

I love, love, love this place. The kind of place you'd expect to find in a foreign country but not on home soil due to its lack of promotion. You might experience the occasional blackout halfway through exploring the many labyrinths of the mine but that just simply adds to the intrigue and eeriness of the place. The areas open... More
