Large night market
Jan. 2020 • Family
Large night market. Lots of food. Both sides of the street. Around corners. Go for a walk and see it all.

Side road market
Apr. 2019 • Family
Excellent for a cheap eat. Alittle unsafe as cars and bikes zoom past you. Market shares road. Also nicknames available for purchase. Not a huge place but great food.

Interesting night market
Dec. 2018 • Couples
This market only operate on Monday. We were there for food and every stall that we tried were yummylicious! We loved their satay, fried carrot cake, teriyaki chicken burger and 阿华豆花, bought their black beancurd, that's the best beancurd that I've ever had!
Is not a very big market but definitely can satisfy your stomach.

Great variety of food!
Aug. 2018
Went on a monday. There were stalls on both sides of the street and traffic was passing right in the middle. Motorists would just ride by and stop in front of the stalls to order, quite an interesting sight!

Although the market isn’t very big, it sells all sorts of food. My mom loved the assam laksa!

Quite a few options for food
Jul. 2018 • Friends
Market is quite big and worth going to. Takes about 25 minutes to walk round. Quite a few different stalls. I would recommend the laksa. Clothes and electronics can also be bought and various bits and bobs. It's an easy way to find cheap food on a Monday night.

Great night market, but beware of rude hawker
Mar. 2018 • Friends
We found this night market through the internet and since it wasn't far from our accommodation, we decided to check it out.

The night market itself is small with most stores catering for food. There wasn't much tourist, so I guess the prices were not exorbitant. There were more locals, hence a great place to get away from the tourist crowd.

We wanted to try this fried mushrooms stall we came across, hence my dad queued for it. The wait wasn't very long, probably 10 minutes or so. However, my dad had mistakenly thought someone had cut his line, hence he asked about his order (he was a little aggitated in his tone). The owner replied quite angrily that my dad has to wait for his order. Which was fine, and my dad didn't say anything more. But to our surprise, the owner kept going on and on and on about it! And then it escalated to him pointing middle fingers, shouting and scolding my dad! Definitely uncalled for. We would understand if the owner was agitated, but it shouldn't be to the extent of verbal abuse. We were so angry, we walked off, even though our order was next.

So, be prepared to encounter rude hawkers who maybe had a bad day himself and then offloading it all onto you.

Trying to find Komtar and found this food street
Feb. 2018 • Family
Went to Komtar and the bus pass-by this food street. Some of them open in the afternoon (mostly shops, not the street food stalls), plenty of options from Nasi Kandar to Chinese also close to Burma Street. Bonus was the Musang King durian :)

Come for the FOOD!
Feb. 2018 • Couples
there is nothing spectacular about the market itself - not if you are looking to buy anything "special".. but do go here for WAY LESS tourists and food stalls. We wandered around for a bit and then tried some of the food stalls. So good and so cheap :)))
Open on Mondays and is worth going to see where the locals hang on a ordinary day.
