Pinang Peranakan Mansion is indeed one valuable heritage worth visiting in Penang. Their architecture and collections are amazing. If you are looking for a heritage with local penang peranakan touch, it has to be this. On arrival, there was a man sitting at the counter collecting the "entrance fees". He looked like more interested in collecting money from you than... More

This is an interesting place to visit when you are in Penang. Tours are available on certain timing of the day. Be sure to check out this place during the tour timing to understand the rich history of this mansion. We reached at around 12.30pm and just in time to join in the tour.

This elegant house museum provides a unique perspective on Peranakan culture in the late 19th-early 20th century. Peranakan, an unusual fusion of Straits Chinese and Malay traditions, helps define Penang. The house is a large, airy, two story structure painted a light green color fronting on a small courtyard. The house is decorated with thousands of artifacts, including beautiful housewares... More

Thoroughly enjoyed the visit. Definitely beneficial to tour the place with the guide. The guide we had was very knowledgeable. The place was beautiful and gave a good insight into the Peranakan history.

We were blown away by this home and all the antiques in it! We had a very helpful guide, Stanley, whose family had been in Penang for many generations - this certainly helped us understand the history and meaning of all that's in the house. Do not miss.

Going to this mansion is like going back to the era of Peranakan. Everything is just arranged so beautifully. Would be better if you can have someone to guide you.

The entry fee include a guided tour which is well worth taking. The guide was so informative, with lots of funny stories about the way of life for these people. Our guide so made the whole visit worth while. The opulent life style these Babas' lived must be seen. The building itself is incredible. Well worth visiting for the architecture... More

This is a house wuth no soul. You can't understand the life of a peranakan family and the story of the original owners. All the collection and building has no discription and no tour guide for solo tourist, very difficult to know, anything. People their is very unproffesional, can't answer any question. Very bad experience.

This mansion was large and had quite a lot to see with furnishings and a Chinese Jewelry Museum. It has been beautifully restored and well maintained. The free guide was excellent adding humor at times. I think the tour was at least 45 minutes.
