For someone who had seen "much grander" temples (meaning much bigger pyramid-like structures above the gates, bigger tomb buildings that you can actually go inside and walk around, and with Marriage Halls & such on their grounds) in Chennai in India, this small temple to...More

This must have just reopened recently, everything is bright and festive looking. It was busy and we were glad we kept our long legs on our convertible pants after visiting the mosques. Short sleeves were acceptable. The extensive detailing on the front roof is breathtaking....More

This is a brilliant temple in little India. We were lucky to visit on a special day when the bring out the god in a chariot pulled by two bulls. Thousands of people followed the chariot singing. It was great.

Had trouble finding the temple, as we did not realize it was the building under renovations covered in tarpaulins. Cross it off your list for now, maybe next time.

Nothing to see here. Tarpaulins covering everything. Even peeking inside it doesn't look too special. No point in wasting time for a special visit, and hardly worth the effort of stopping as you explore the vicinity.

This temple is tiny and feels more like a miniature of a real south Indian temple than anything important. I looked inside and it didn't seem any more interesting than the facade. Even when open this place likely would tale less than a minute or...More
