I'm from Taiwan and normally a city's name sounds similar in their original name and in my language. Yet Kota Kinabalu is nothing similar to it's Chinese name. I walked around and by reading signs in this area, I learned a little history about this...More

The first thing you notice about the older part of Kota Kinabalu is car is king and the poor old pedestrian struggles to cross any road and negotiate the many broken foot paths. The clock is nice, but not the original structure after it was...More

I wouldn't necessarily go out of the way to see the clock tower, but it's on the way to signal hill so why not! Interesting history.

I am sure when this Clock Tower was erected, it has been tall building. In January 2018, this tower looks little building hidden among large buildings surrounding it. We had problem finding it. Don’t waste your time. It is not worth seeing!!

The Clock Tower is well worth the walk, it is part of the history of Kota Kinabalu, one of the few sites which was not wrecked in World War II, learn all about the area, reading the notice board at the bottom of the hill...More

Instagram-worthy trip. There's a sign at the bottom of the hill that states the history and background of the tower. You wouldn't spend more than 15 minutes here.

Worth the walk up a little steep set of stairs to see this interesting piece of history. While it is not necessarily a must see take a look if you're in the area.

This small building has only value for its history and the fact that it shows where the coast line was before reclamation.

Visited the site by walk from Shangri-la, it was on the way to signal hill. Have a look at the old clock tower on your way to the signal hill. It is next to a parking area.
