We drove there as we wanted to have lunch at the club house, but it is for members only. But the place is open to the public since there is a public road that run across the club. Viewing Mt Kinabalu from another perspective is lovely. It is a pity that their restaurant is not open to the public.

There are nice big aquariums. Staff are pleasant. But the maintenance of the whole place is very poor. Easy to be disappointed.

If you are a good (below 18 handicap) golfer & love challenge, this course is for you! Must plan to starts in the early morning preferably finishes by noon or before 2pm because rain is normal in the afternoon rendering the course soaked & ball embezzlement. Whether you score well or not you will not regret coming!

Mount Kinabalu Golf Club as its name suggested is located at the foothills of Mount Kinabalu. Personally I would considered this as one of the most scenic golf courses in South East Asia. Of recent, it undergo a major renovation to make more "waterproof"as it was previously unplayable during the rainy days.

Gotta say, this is the most beautiful mountain golf course i have been. Mount Kinabalu as your backdrop, cool & fresh air. Beautiful and challenging golf course. Only one draw back, no game during rainy season.

It is not a very exciting course and the clubhouse lacks atmosphere. Not luxury here but it is the only golf club in Kota Kinabalu where you can dip in the sea and walk back into the swimming pool within minutes.
