Don't miss this place. The lodge is great so are the local guides. Our guide Raffael was just amazing ! While there we saw Gibbons, Red Leaf Monkeys,Kingfishers,Civets,Fish Owls, Eagles,Hornbills & many more birds. The highlight for us was a herd of Pygm Elephants mothers & calf's 30or more, WOW!!!!

Just to be clear, this is not a high end luxury resort. But if you're ready for an authentic taste of the Borneo rainforest, and you really want to get away from it all, this is your spot. The guides are great--they really work hard to make sure you see as much wildlife as you can during your stay. They're... More

Everything here is amazing. We enjoyed the tours, the food, the room. And the guides are all very knowledgeable and friendly! We had Maui and also sometimes Rafael and the guy with the funny hair. We saw elephants, gibbons, a bearded pig, a leopard cat, and lots of birds. Stayed for two nights.

We stayed here for two nights in two riverside cabins. The accomodation was basic but nice, with good aircoditioning and showers and a nice balcony overlooking the river. The drive to the reserve was rather bumpy and there was some mix up with our collection from the tiny Lahad Datu airport but it was sorted fairly quickly. Our guide Mawi... More

We stayed in one of the small riverside lodges, which are really well done out and chic places to stay. Tabin was great for wildlife, we saw Gibbons, monkeys, Civets, Flying Squirrels, Otters and lots of birds. No orangutans, we spotted those at Danum Valley or elephants, which eluded us completely on our tour (others saw them on the Kinabatangan... More

Not exceptional for sure but a good place to visit if you are tired of just laying around on the beach. Kids would definately love it. You get to see the famous Probiscus Monkeys, Orang Utans, Beautiful Tigers, fun Sea Otters and much more. I would not put it on the top of the to do list but if you... More

I stayed at the Tabin Wildlife Resort for 6 nights and went on multiple night drives in the reserve as well as visiting the mud volcano during the day. Tabin at night is something very special to experience. There are 3 roads that can be used for night drives, each one has something different to offer. The road from the... More

I really liked Tabin, although not top of the range (thank goodness) it was really very comfortable. It had fans and a/c in the rooms and the beds were pretty good; not to hard! The staff were friendly, knowledgable and helpful. Food was middling and nothing special but definitely edible. I should mention that all the rooms have a view... More

This lodge is associated with the Depts of Forestry and Wildlife. It comprises the public areas and ten chalets near the River and 10 on the hill. I stayed in the river lodge 1. It is the closest to the public areas. They say wifi exists but it is so slow as to be useless. However, the chalet is comfortable.... More

The jungle walks was good, but requires a good deal of patience to see the wildlife. The lodge is nice. The food was so so. The area needs a few more roads to enable more safari options, you get to travel the same roads a few times.
