The old courthouse building is now housing a range of different things. We walked though and had the change to admire some art work and some cute cats sleeping under the cafe chairs. The building itself of stunning and very well maintained. There is also a cafe of some type there where we saw people enjoying coffee and cake and... More

Has a lot of history from the Brooke era. Nice cafe to the side area We were lucky enough to see a couple in their tradition dress having picture taken there.

Really good food, a fusion of local and international cuisine, with an unbelievably friendly staff. The choice of cakes is amazing!

One of the oldest colonial building in Kuching. Currently it's occupied by restaurant, ChinaHouse which provided authentic environment with various facility. Well, you can play guitar or piano at the courtyard. Or ping pong if you like.

This old colonial building is formerly the court building of Kuching. At present, it has another lives as coffee cafe, culture hall and museum all residing inside it. You normally pass through this building when you walk from India Street to Carpenter Street and vice versa. It is conveniently located behind Merdeka Plaza.

This building is located between Carpenter Street and India Street. Many young people are playing board skates at the back of this building at afternoon. In front of this building, there is a statue with information of the James Brooke, the white king of Sarawak at the past.

We dropped in here accidentally and boy were we glad. The cakes and desserts on offer are like nothing we have seen in our modern western cafes. We had a caramel cheesecake and orange and pistachio cake with coffee. Both were absolutely the best we have had, ever. Great service in a really cool setting and the coffee was good... More

This place has a number of different outlets - all look as though owned and operated by the same people. Cakes appear to be very popular - I tried "The Library" which was empty apart form our table - good service and reasonable food - and generally a pretty pleasant environment
